Soft Acrobatics

For Beginners

What is it?

Each class will take a fundamental movement as a focus, the class will deal with the necessary prep work, including the specific strength and flexibility requirements. We will then scale and explore the focus of the class as we start with simpler versions and build up to more complexity before working on sequencing and exploring more creativity in your acrobatic practice. Over time we'll develop greater fluency in acrobatics and learn how to improvise and bring more creativity to how you move.

Why Join Soft Acrobatics?

  1. Learn new movements and tricks
  2. Develop strength flexibility and coordination
  3. Meet like minded people
  4. Gain greater confidence in your movement abilities
  5. Build fitness in a less Orthodox way

Bonus reason: Surprise yourself!

What to Expect in your Soft Acrobatics Class

In soft acrobatics for beginners we start from the ground up (literally) one of the first elements we will explore is how to roll safely on the ground.

This lays a foundation for safer learning going forward as well as providing more movement options on the ground. As you progress through the term we will explore inversions, arching acrobatics and some basic jumping acrobatics, this style of acrobatics is built upon strength, which will develop with time. This approach keeps relatively low and will allow for a sustainable practice.

Soft acrobatics is like a language and each week we will explore a new movement while refining those introduced in previous weeks. Over time as you develop fluency we will move on to developing sequences and approaching the practice creatively.
