This is an invitation for Professional Circus Artists to spend time with the incredible Síolta Circus looking at ensemble development!
This art-form development residency is led by members of Siolta (Henrik, Ali, Jacob), and using the skills of juggling and acrobatics, Pitch’d Festival poses the question “What can we make and do when we work together and cooperate?”
The aim of this ensemble development residency is to create a common language and understanding of how to work together as a collective rather than as individuals.
- How can we share focus rather than draw it?
- How to listen and respond?
- How can we lift each other up to a consistent level that is simultaneously beautiful and artistically challenging?
We will look at tempo, timing and determining where the spaces exist to create within patterns and our bodies.
Participation in this is free, however applicants will be selected via an application process.
