Circus Club is like a circus convention but smaller. Circus Factory Cork will be open all day for training and in the evening there will be taster workshops ahead of the education term at Circus Factory.
Monday August 25th:
Flowersticks with Tyrone / 6PM - 7PM
Guest coach Tyrone will be teaching a taster workshop in Flowersticks ahead of their workshop for beginners on September 28th.
You don't need to do the workshop in September to join in on the fun!
Stage Presence with Moss Russell / 7PM - 8.30PM
This workshop will examine types of stage presence and how we may bring various emotions and styles to life in the public forum. We will explore connection to the audience and connection to the self. You may have the opportunity to perform for fellow participants and have the option to receive feedback and direction. A notebook and pen are recommended.
Tuesday August 26th:
Aerial with Brenda / 6.30PM - 8PM
Aerial coach Brendawill be teaching a taster workshop in aerial ahead of the new term in September!
In this Circus Taster, Brenda will teach a Footlock- a foundation skill, which well, locks the foot. From there the class will learn 2-3 poses. At the end we will tie the fabrics into a knot and finish by going upside-down- giving the people what they want
This fun taster class is suitable for complete beginners.
Cohesive Craic with Moss Russell / 6.30PM - 7.30PM
What happens when you attune wholly with the people around you? And why is it so fun to watch?! This ability can make for mindblowing performance and life experience and luckily for us, it is a muscle that can be trained. This workshop will be silly and fun, we will work entirely as a group and learn how to focus on our connection with those whom we perform with.
Circus Factory is accessible by wheelchair, with a wooden ramp with steel grips leading up to the venue with a wooden grab rail. The toilets in the building are not wheelchair accessible.
Guide dogs are welcome throughout the space.
