Eimear Ní Mhaoldomnaigh

A multi-disciplinary artist based in Cork City and one third of Slí Danu.

Storytelling, expression of feeling and connection with the audience are core elements of her work which she communicates through spoken word, dance, fire manipulation, aerial/vertical dance and visual projections. Her art explores themes of identity, heritage, sexuality, autonomy, perception and the dichotomy of human emotion.

A late comer to the circus world with a background in science, she is in some ways an outsider in the art world, existing in the in-between.

This grey area is where she is happiest, blurring lines and confronting ideas of how ‘things should be’.
