Aerial Hoop Intensive with Kate Finnegan

An Aerial Hoop Intensive with Kate Finnegan will be held at Circus Factory Cork on April 11th. This intensive will be a once off creative and technical intensive in Aerial Hoop.

Kate will offer a 1.5 hour technical choreography with 30 mins of creative play and development at the end. Learn spiraling choreography sequences with a spin. In this workshop, you will work on intricate movement within the hoop (such as lion rolls and rolling technique) while also working on the strap. The focus will be given to developing your own unique movement quality and character work in the air. Time will be dedicated to discovering new pathways in creative exploration and developing your own style.

About Kate

Kate is an aerialist with just under ten years experience in working in aerial hoop. Kate delights in theatricality and twisty spiralling choreography in aerial dance. Kate has worked internationally with Fidget Feet and nationally as a solo aerialist. Kate has performed aerial for The National Museum at Collins Barracks, The Guinness Storehouse, St Brigid’s Day Festival, Spraoi, RTÉ Christmas Panto and much more. Kate has trained worldwide from Goa to Costa Rica under the guidance of internationally acclaimed aerialists.
