Intermediate AcroYoga

AcroYoga

For Intermediates

What is it?

Coming from the playful and accessible roots of AcroYoga, Alan & Mary love exploring the creativity, connection, and flow that Acro brings. Their classes offer a balance of challenge and accessibility, with plenty of progressions to help you grow at your own pace.

Why Join AcroYoga?

  • It's fun - Have you felt the thrill before of doing your first cartwheel or headstand? Well, in Acro we share in that joy together, making it all the more fun!
  • Easier than it looks - that's right it isn't impossible at all and you're much closer to pulling it off than you might expect
  • Strength and flexibility - people always think you need to have these first, but the reality is we build these in the classes, not outside of them!
  • Community - there's no tighter knit group than one where people literally lift each other up and keep each other safe and happy the whole time!
  • It's portable - all you need is you and someone else and you can do Acro anywhere! An awesome skill for the beach, the park, with family, friends. It travels with you wherever you go!

What to Expect in your AcroYoga Class

Are you ready to take your Acro practice to the next level? In this course, the focus is on L-basing, transitions, and flows—the building blocks that allow you and your partner to move smoothly and creatively from one shape to another.

You’ll learn how to link poses into sequences, explore creative pathways between positions, and discover the joy of moving together in flow.

Each class will introduce new transitions and combinations while revisiting the foundations, ensuring you leave with both confidence and inspiration for your Acro practice.

For Who

This is an intermediate-level class—some experience with AcroYoga is expected. A foundation in L-basing (e.g. bird, throne, star, shoulderstand) will be beneficial, as well as a little experience in standing partner acrobatics.

Are there any prerequisites to attend?

This class expects some foundation in Acro already, some experience with L-basing and standing partner acrobatics will be beneficial.

What Should You Bring?

  • Comfortable, fitted clothing (avoid loose or slippery fabrics)
  • A willingness to play, learn, and support others

About Your Coach

Cami Jaque / @acro.cami on Insta

Cami has loved movement in all its forms since she was little, but AcroYoga, which she discovered in 2022, truly captured her heart. She quickly fell in love with the connection, trust, and joy it brings, especially through icarians, handstands, and creative exploration. In 2024, she completed her 100-hour teacher training with The AcroWay in Sweden and has shared her practice at festivals and retreats across Europe, including Acronnection, Dungarvan, and the Dutch AcroYoga Festival.

Originally from Chile, Cami enjoys creating warm, playful spaces where people connect through movement, in both English and Spanish. She’s happiest upside down, flying through the air, or spotting with a big smile. And yes… sometimes she even loves basing! Small but mighty!
