HULA

HOOP

What is it?

Hula hoop is the art and practice of performing tricks and manipulations of a large circular PVC hoop around the body. It is a really fun way to stay active and has endless variations and skills levels to explore.

For Who

Hulahoop is suitable for all ages and levels. It is an excellent way to develop cognitive movement coordinations and a fun physical activity that can be practised in the garden, the beach or anywhere with some space.

Couses can run from 4 to 6 weeks in duration and have previously ran at both Circus Factory and Firkin Crane  - Home of Dance. Currently we have no programmes on offer.

JUGGLING

What is it?

Juggling covers the many variations of this classic artform and practice. From 1 - 3 ball cascades to club juggling and other objects, the basic principles of juggling remain the same, with beginner and more advanced patterns for the student to explore.

Juggling is suitable for all ages and levels. It is an excellent way to develop cognitive movement coordinations and a fun physical activity that can be practised in the garden, indoors, the park or anywhere with some space.

Juggling Man

POI AND

STAFF

What is it?

Poi is an artform and practice of choreographed and improvised object manipulation, the poi is normally a weighted ball or object on the end of a short rope. The performer will swing the weighted objects around their body in coordinated patterns and routines. Staff is a straight pole with normally weighted ends and are moved around the body with different rhythms and patterns. Both Poi and Staff can be used with adapted fire props.

For Who

Our classes are suitable for all adult ages, levels and backgrounds. Students are taught the key basic positions and moves and encouraged to develop at their own pace to make sure they build confidence and strength in a safe manner.

About Safety

Circus Factory has professionally installed aerial rigging and all equipment and hardware undergoes regular inspection. All equipment is rigged at a low accessible level with professional landing mats mandatory for practice training. Our aerial Coaches are experienced aerial artists and have a high level of previous teaching experience. All classes are conducted with Covid 19 protocols in place.
