Have you ever wanted to walk a tight wire, jump through hoops or do a handstand? Then this bespoke mixed circus skills programme is for you.
Rebel Circus offers an opportunity for young people to learn new skills and discover circus as a means of creative expression, creating their own show. The course will focus on collaboration and having the young people grow together as a group, to create projects that are lead by their own interests and creativity.
The programme is determined by the young people's interests, where our coaches guide and encourage them to try new ideas and skills. Between September will develop a show that will also be a film, we will be working closely with Cork Film Centre to learn new film skills, learn to create work that can be performed on a stage and filmed.
This course is suitable for previous students to our youth programme and should be taken in addition to a second Circus class at Circus Factory. We also welcome new students, however it should be noted that the young person should already have attended at least be proficient in at least one circus prop.
Rebel Youth Ensemble offers an opportunity for young people to learn new skills and discover circus as a means of creative expression, story telling and performance. The course will focus on collaboration and having the young people work together as a group, to create a performance that is lead by their own interests and creativity.
This class will utilise a variety of youth work and artistic approaches, including photography, costume design and looking at what it takes to put together a production. We expect the participants to commit to the full term to the best of their ability. The dates below are a guideline for what is expected, however there may be additional rehearsals closer to the dates of the final performance if requested by the group and coaches.

This class is for youth ages 10+ who are interested in both circus and performing.
Comfortable clothes you can move in and a bottle of water. Water can be refilled in the kitchen.
The Marina Market food hall is across the road if parents/ guardians want to grab a bite to eat or a coffee while they wait!

The Rebel Circus Youth Ensemble takes place on Saturday afternoons and is suitable for ages 10-17 yrs.
