The first weekend of Pitch’d Circus and Street Arts Festival can be seen just over the horizon. After a wonderfully whimsical festival launch at the Bodega, it’s clear the people of Cork are ready and willing to be welcomed, wowed, and even woo’d by charming characters.

Pitch’d Circus and Street Arts Festival: Weekend 1
The first weekend kicks off with gravity-defiers TeaTime Company and their show ‘A Matter of Time’, presented by Circus Factory Cork and The Everyman Cork. Three performers disobey the laws of nature as they challenge each other to defy gravity, bend time and reach the impossible. Newton, eat your heart out.
TeaTime Company consists of three performers specialised in three different disciplines: Chinese pole, dance and juggling. They create charming and accessible work that carries complex ideas. Their latest show, A Matter of Time, sees them balancing on the thin line between success and failure. How far can you bend the rules before they break? A performance that moves between circus and dance, juggling and movement, bodies and juggling balls, the possible and the impossible. Catch Teatime Company at Dance Cork Firkin Crane on September 9th and 10th.
Pitch’d Festival is a festival that brings something for everyone. If you want to develop your acting skills or ever want to learn about performing and devising immersive theatre, PunchDrunk enrichment will be hosting a 2-day workshop at Circus Factory Cork on Centre Park Road.
This unique and rare opportunity is suitable for any students / emerging and professional artists interested in exploring devising techniques within their artform(s) including circus, dance, theatre, and physical performance.
Facilitating the workshop is Fernanda Prata, who has collaborated with ‘PunchDrunk’, (“the world’s leading immersive theatre company)” for over 15 years working as a performer and later as assistant director. Join the 2-day life-changing workshop with PunchDrunk Enrichment Saturday 10th September 2 pm – 6 pm & Sunday 11th September 10 am – 2 pm.
