In the chaos that surrounds us let’s use the festival to remember and experience why a healthy culture of arts is important to us all. Circus Factory are delighted to present a rare opportunity to participate in immersive theatre pioneers, Punchdrunk, Enrichment workshops
September 10th – 11th

Day 1: 2PM – 6PM
Day 2: 10AM – 2PM
This two day progressive physical performance workshop will support participants to develop their non-verbal devising skills. We use short stories as a starting point for exploring how to develop character in response to site, sound and source material.
Participants will work with an experienced Punchdrunk Performer as Facilitator who will introduce the creation methods that inform the basis that both PunchDrunk Enrichment and their original and existing performing company, Punchdrunk, score much of their unique creative process from.

Pitch’d is a platform for artists, producers and presenters (and anyone with an interest in this industry) to come together and talk about how they see their future. On Saturday morning there will be a roundtable discussion led by a panel of experts titled “Living in the Arts”.

Using both improvisational and structured exercises, floor work, release movement and some basic acrobatics. The class will culminate in a choreographic phrase based on the movement devised from the show and short cool down. The class will be energising and good craic!

Emmen Is a credited and respected member of the Irish/Northern Irish Aerial and Circus Community. In their performance career, Emmens work expresses an analytical curiosity & creative sense of whimsy applied with a refreshing stroke of traditional dynamic technique. Always seeking to push the boundaries of Aerial Acrobatics further with a unique blend of physical discipline layered over rich narratives, Emmen cuts an impressive physical presence on stage, and is highly respected for the use of their technical and personable creative skills.
This opportunity is open to aerial artists at all stages of their practice and who are ready to engage in a deeper creative approach to their training and performance. The participants will ideally by available for all 3 residencies which will culminate in an opportunity to present work at a showcase evening for Circus Factory’s highlight of the year, Pitch’d Circus and Street Arts Festival in September 2022.
