Spymonkey are the UK’s leading physical comedy ensemble and consist of a core creative ensemble comprising artistic directors Toby Park, Petra Massey and Aitor Basauri, associate artists Stephan Kreiss and designer Lucy Bradridge, and executive producer Emily Coleman. Spymonkey take influence from Monty Python, the Marx Brothers ands Samuel Beckett. They’re firmly rooted in dark and edgy physical comedy and have proved to be an international phenomenon. And we’re bringing them to you, right here in Cork City.
What are Spymonkey doing in Cork?
They’re bringing a workshop where you will discover what make you funny, hone your skills and practice what makes an audience belly laugh. The workshop takes place March 12-13th at The Crypt at St.Lukes in Cork City. If you love to make people laugh and have a flair for performing, then you will love this workshop.
What will I do in the workshop with Spymonkey?
You will channel your inner clown and be absolutely ridiculous! Aside from that you will be supported to develop and hone your comedic skills in a safe and fun environment. You’ll be adventurous and take risks and learn how to shine as an individual and improve on every spontaneous opportunity!
